Performance-Based Payment System for Teachers in the States

60 % payment Teacher will get directly & remaining 40 % will depend upon performance                                     

   Net salary of a Teacher = (P + 0.60)N                                                                                                                                                           

   P = Minimum of (P1,0.40 )

   N = Salary as per govt.               

   P1  =  [ 0.15 * ( %  Attendance in that School or College /80) + ........../... ) + 0.1* (........../......... ) + ...*( ........ / Student Teacher Ratio in the States)  ]

Example: Supposed a “   Senior Secondary School/or College in Arwal, Bihar  ” having 300 students & 6 Teachers. find the Salary of the Math Faculty (Neha Baranwal) in October Month for This School.

Solution: Data we will Have 

1. Avg. Attendance in Oct Month for This School – 60.78 %

2. Monthly Avg. Marks of School in Oct Month – 58.65

3. Avg. Marks of School in Math Subject in Oct Month -51.33

4. Student Teachers ratio in the “ Mahavir Secondary School,  – 50

5. Student Teachers ratio in the States – 54

6. Salary as per Govt. for  School/College – 65,000

Salary of Neha Baranwal in Oct Month = (P+0.60)*65000

P = Minimum of P1 or 0.40

P1 = [ 0.15 * ( ... /80) + ...*(..../75 ) + ...* (.... /... ) + ...*( .... / 54)  ]           = 0.326 

So , P = 0.326

Salary of Neha Baranwal in Oct Month

 = (0.326+0.60)*65000                                                                   

  = 60,190 Rupees only

Neha Baranwal got 7.5 % less salary because Students didn’t perform well in their subject ( Math) despite having a good student-teacher ratio in the school or College.   This Technique is Derived by the Committee for Educational  Reforms (CER) under the guidance of D. K. Rao and Neha Baranwal. CER is a special team of NODUS NGO which is working for educational reforms. CER is composed of a group of IIT / IIM students.
